Host an exhibition involving at least two baseball teams composed of the player groups listed. This exhibition offers these players the opportunity to compete and showcase their talent while giving the local community a unique and intimate viewing experience. An estimated 4-6 exhibition games would be played in this timeframe with some practices open to the public to precede these games.
With the MLB Lockout, there is a desire for players to resume training and play opportunities. Many players have considered going to Asia to compete with their professional teams. With the COVID-19 travel restrictions and 7-10 day quarantines entering Japan, this makes these options very unrealistic. Hawaii’s geographical location and unique “gateway” to Asia makes this Series primed for success and will lead to future opportunities to showcase our community’s love of baseball.
